According to the National SAFE KIDS Campaign, about 30 million children and teens in the U.S. participate in some form of organized sports and more than 3.5 million injuries occur with these participants each year. Almost one-third of all childhood injuries are sports-related and of these, the most common are sprains and strains.  Dr. Brian Babka, specializes in sports medicine, at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and we talk about the issues surrounding sports injuries and sports safety.
