INGRID FLOYD and MAXINE FRERE: The Iris House Leading Ladies Program

This week on TALK! with AUDREY: INGRID FLOYD, Executive Director of IRIS HOUSE and MAXINE FRERE,Chair of the  Health and HIV Ministry at First Bethel AME in Harlem, join me to talk about The Iris House Leading Ladies Program. The program is designed to build capacity within Faith-Based Organizations in NY, NJ and Philadelphia, to deliver gender specific health and HIV education, reduce the stigma that exists within communities of color related to HIV, encourage HIV testing and reduce new infections while emphasizing the importance of women’s health. The program is focused on helping faith based health ministries to expand their efforts related to women’s health and HIV awareness and should be seen as an additional service that can be offered church members and the community.
